Creating a Polished Presentation
An Introduction to PowerPoint

Recorded Instructional Videos
5 hours of video + sample files

Instructor
Chantal Filson

Join us for another session of the Precision series, Costume On: Master Classes that focus on creating tools and custom elements for the modern costumer.

PowerPoint can be painless! Whether you'd like to showcase your design skills in a professional layout, put together a flawless presentation that elegantly flows or create a detailed sketchbook with digital swatches for your own projects, this is for you! Students will master the basics of Powerpoint and learn the skills to construct polished presentations, portfolios, mood boards and lookbooks for either professional or personal use.

The class begins with a look at professional mood boards, alt text, ethically sourcing and formatting images and research materials, then move on to creating a sample PowerPoint in real time. Students will learn to import and resize images, how to add text and decorative elements, incorporate hyperlinks, format and organize slides and more.

A sample presentation will be provided and recreated during the 5 hours of recorded videos using a provided folder of stock images. Students who have PowerPoint may work along with the teacher through each step, or are welcome to watch the process in a demo capacity. As always, students may receive additional assistance or recaps as needed after class- no costumer is left behind!

Purchase of PowerPoint is at the discretion of the student and not mandatory for class.
